Mariya Nikodimova, BSc

Nutritional Therapist

“I firmly believe I have found my true vocation to work as a Nutritional Therapist in the field of Clinical Nutrition by using the approach of Functional Medicine.

I see each disease as a tree with a crown (diagnosis), leaves (symptoms) and roots (factors leading to disease manifestation).

Rather than treating the ‘upper part of the tree’ with a standard treatment protocol, I spend time to first thoroughly investigate and then remove the ‘root causes’: those external (nutritional and lifestyle) factors as well as internal body dysfunctions that have predisposed you to ill health.

This is a healing journey back to optimal health when you have me to answer your questions and hold your hand during the process of dietary changes.”

During a medical interview of an Initial consultation, Mariya reviews all medical test results and documentation, asks many questions about symptoms and goes through years of a health history. In this investigation phase, she uses her ‘no stone unturned’ skills to understand WHY a disease has appeared and explains it in a comprehensive manner.

At the end of the consultation, you will receive:

  • A fully personalised nutritional plan
  • A programme with up to 5 dietary supplements aimed at removing any nutritional deficiencies and meeting your unique dietary needs, a list of blood or other functional tests (e.g. stool test for gut microbiome) if needed
